Not much is known about the 50B Receiver. The example in this photo appears to be an engineering model in that there is no builders-plate and the knobs are unlabeled.
One may assume the company, at this date, lacked the manufacturing capability for a complex vernier dial assembly - so they bought one off-the-shelf for the 50B.
An example of a 50B installation is in the 150C “River Boat” assembly sold to the United Fruit Company.
