The ARC-13 pictured below is an example prototype that did not attain production beyond a couple of engineering units. It is/was a UHF AM, 6-channel Autotune®, Transmitter/Receiver with built-in Guard Receiver.
Product Under Test
Here we see two ARC-13 units being tested in the Collins Radio Co.’s private control tower at the Cedar Rapids Airport.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to see what is in the covered box on the front panel.
